Electronic Ear Defenders

Most hearing damage is caused by high frequency noise from dynamic and intermittent machine use such as workshop equipment, motor saws or power tools. These electronic ear defenders allow you to carry on a conversation or hear warning calls, whilst automatically attenuating all noise above 85db. Operated by an On/Off switch, which also adjusts the volume, these defenders are fitted with a microphone that transmits to a speaker in each ear-piece, allowing the user to hear low level, safe sounds such as somebody's speech; however when the noise level reaches 85db this ingenious device automatically protects the ear by stopping any transmission of noise to the ears. Fitted with comfortable soft ear cushions and an adjustable headband, the defenders comply with European Standard EN352-1 and are powered by 2 x AA batteries (309018)not included.
