A cross vice is used to accurately position a component in two directions on a drill press table. The adjustable gibs ensure consistent accuracy and both slides are lockable at the required position. With a little simple calculation on the lead screw pitch quite precise drilling coordinates can be achieved. The milling of non-ferrous materials and plastics is well within the capacity of this well made vice.
