Jet 22-44 Plus Drum Sander

This is the largest of the open-ended drum sanders and has, when used from both sides an incredible 1120mm of capacity with a 100mm capacity under the abrasive drum. The drum is specially balanced to reduce vibration to a minimum and has adjustments so that the drum and sander table can be set perfectly parallel to each other. The variable speed feed motor drives the timber through from 3m/min down to virtual stop so that a good finish can be obtained even on the most difficult pieces of grained timber. Changing the abrasive loading is quick and easy with a self tensioning clip device incorporated into the roller. For longer lengths of material a set of feed tables is available as an optional accessory. The picture shows the machine mounted on the optional closed cabinet stand with integral wheels (609005). As standard the machine is bench mounted. A lower priced frame built stand (609004) is available as a second option; this frame built stand is self assembly but can be easily enclosed with plywood to form a useful storage cupboard.
