The item arrived promptly, and I received an email and a test telling me the day and hour it would arrive. It arrived in that hour! The tool is a good example of quality German engineering. It is a pleasure using this!

First Class Tool

I use a scroll saw in my woodcraft workshop and require a small rotary tool to clean up edges, make tiny holes for the scroll saws and smooth out
small awkward angles in the projects. Quiet operation is important and precise finishing is paramount as second best will not do. This machine is all of
that and more. Extremely well made and typical of German engineering to a high standard of finish. I recommend this tool and also the flexi-feed accessory
which is also to the same high standard.

Superb bit of kit! and eats Dremels for breakfast

These are the Rolls Royce's of the Rotary tool world! superb build quality, no flimsy cheap plastics used here just nice solid alloy and glass fibre reinforced plastic, uses proper bearings and is so much quieter than a Dremel they are a pleasure to use...... get yourself the flexi shaft and you can do powercarving all day and it doesn't even get warm! try that on a Dremel and they soon have to cool down.
If your a true craftsman then buy a Proxxon if your just wanting to file your toenails then a Dremel will do or even Parkside .

This is an expensive tool but well worth it. Beautifully made with high quality plastic body and aluminium head, every part of it feels top quality. The DC motor is smooth, silent, and powerful, and although nominally less powerful than equivalent models it easily matches them. I have a Dremel 400 Digital and the Proxxon is much quieter, smoother, and just as powerful.
Accessories, such as the drill stand, are all metal and much more precise than the plastic Dremel equivalents.
Although the speed range (5,000 - 20,000rpm) is less than the Dremel (5,000 - 32,000rpm) this really doesn't matter, the higher speeds are not necessary. Both tools have electronic speed control, the Dremel has feedback for load balancing but it isn't really effective, the Proxxon is just as stable.
The Proxxon has hardened steel collets, I have already replaced several aluminium Dremel collets.
