In Detail

The PS 13 Pen Sander from Proxxon is a great tool for the model maker and miniaturist. It is ideal for working on surfaces in recesses, slots and other awkward to get at areas. The durable special DC motor is housed in a glass fibre reinforced polyamide casing and the unit features a sanding stroke with a linear action, not rotational. Supplied with four sanding arbors with straight shanks and four angled (all different shapes) as well as three sheets of pre-profiled self adhesive sanding pads. The sheets are of grits 180, 240 and 400 with five of each shape per sheet.

N.B. A mains adaptor of at least 1.0A at 10-18VDC is required. We recommend Proxxon power supplies NG2/E or NG5/E.

Good value

I have two of these units and both have worked well for 6 years or more without any failure.

Proxxon pen sander

I've had two of these tools, both broke only after a few hours. Replaced and then refunded with no quibble from Axminster. I had read good reviews of this tool but was really disappointed as to its life span on my modest carvings. The connection between the motor and the sanding head gave up.
