Useful. Insufficient information

In pocket hole joinery, accuracy is a problem. The screws tend to pull the pieces slightly out of alignment as they are tightened. Hence the need for a clamp or clamps.
I have found this useful, especially when combined in use with the wrench-like clamp, the first to pull the pieces together, the second to stop slight fore and aft movement as the screws are tightened. With wide pieces of wood, the wrench clamp can be easily placed along-side this clamp. For narrow pieces of wood the wrench clamp has to clamp both the wood and this clamp. This can be done and works well but it would have been better if it had been designed with a recess, parallel to the workpiece, for the footplate of the wrench clamp.
Axminster gives no guidance as to the maximum width of wood it will hold. If using 3cm thick wood, 7cm is at the limit of thickness that this clamp will accommodate.

Pocket hole clamp

I have a Dakota system but have bought this clamp. Fully compatible and works like a dream. Plenty of pressure and the ratchet system makes it easy to use on the bench. Fully recommend

Good alternative

I have a Kreg pocket jig but never got around to buying a clamp. This looks ideal and cheaper. Only 4 stars as there are a few sharp moulding lines in plastic components but so far it looks like it will be used a lot. Note - I haven't used it yet so I'm assuming it s fully Kreg compatible
