Blows a lot of bulbs

These lights are very useful, but oh man do they blow a lot of bulbs! They seem to have settled down now but at the beginning I was forever putting in new bulbs and there's nothing wrong with my power supply. The innards of the lamp housing are really typicallly Chinese - cheap and flimsy and you have to be careful not to loosen anything. The housings get incredibly hot during use to the extent that it almost becomes a heater. Very inefficient. The rest of the construction isn't too bad and is quite robust and easy to set up.
