EUROPEAN BENCH MAKING AT ITS FINEST!
Sjobergs Elite cabinetmaker benches are constructed in European beech renowned for its toughness and longevity. The top is 85mm thick with a 110mm apron, ready treated with a premium quality enriching finishing oil. The specially developed vices provide enormous clamping power across their 740mm(23.1/2") width as well as accuracy and smoothness. The vices have an opening capacity of 145mm(5.3/4"). The double row of round dogs is useable from both vices and across the worktop. Each Elite bench is supplied with four round steel bench dogs which can also be used in the bench legs. The Elite is quality all the way; construction, materials, design and finish. With a large range of accessories, the Sjobergs Elite Bench is the ideal foundation for your workshop.
Sjobergs benches are kiln dried to 8% moisture content. If your workshop is not a humidity controlled environment and can exceed 75% air humidity Axminster recommends sealing the bench with 2 or 3 coats of finishing oil on the top, underside and dog holes. This treatment should be maintained from time to time.

Superb quality and functionalA very nice and functional bench for the professional who needs a second/smaller one and the demanding DYI. Minimal, well structured and robust, deserves the last penny of its (quite high) price. A life time bench that will be left to your grandsons for sure!

Superb workbenchI was oriented towards light benches and, above all, with a decent price. But I was literally charmed by Sjobergs Elite benches, suitable for pro woodworkers. Infact, they are quite stronger, heavier, larger, higher and thickier than the hobby line. I do not consider myself a pro, but I was very attracted to those benches. I love working the wood in the best possible way and I wanted a very sturdy bench. So the choice was the Sjobergs Elite 1500. Now I'm quite satisfied and happy even if it appears very expensive. But I'm sure this kind of bench can be very useful and suitable for wood enthusiasts, too, and it can last dozens of years without pointing the old age out. Yes, if I should come back and choice my new workbench, I would not hesitate a single minute: I'd buy the Elite 1500 again. I hope to build several projects with it and teach the beautiful art of woodworking to my grandchildren through that splendid worbench.
