Woodturning - Making a Pepper Mill Course

Level: Intermediate

Maximum five students are taught in a group during this course.

Duration: 1 Day

Course hours will run from 9:00am-5:00pm (including approx half an hour for lunch).

Price: £125.00

Price includes VAT, all required materials,
required tools and a light lunch.

Pepper Mills are well used decorative utensils for any kitchen. Learn the process of turning a unique and completely functional pepper mill on our one day course.

What you will learn

Aimed at those with woodturning experience, your day will cover the turning of a pepper mill from start to finish. You will start by learning about the selection and preparation of materials. Your tutor will then guide you through workholding on the lathe and hole boring. Following this you will begin the process of shaping your pepper mill. To finalise your piece, you will look at sanding and finishing techniques to enable your creations to look their very best.

Items you take home can change depending on the resources and materials available on the day.

Additional information

You will start your day with a welcome talk, including a hot drink, health and safety brief and a breakdown and review of the equipment you will be using.

Some woodturning experience needed.
