This is a light-duty 'V' bedded lathe for model engineering or general production of small components. Unusually for a machine of this size, the drive to the spindle is through gears rather than belts which makes speed changing a much simpler operation. There is a range of speeds between (6) 170-1,950rpm and reversing is achieved by reversing the motor direction. The saddle can be manually or power fed and there is a choice of 5 leadscrew speeds and 17 metric screw thread ratios, all achieved by selecting the appropriate change wheel options. The four-position tool post is mounted on the top slide, which can be adjusted for angle to enable short tapers to be machined. The lathe comes with a 4" three jaw self-centring chuck (including internal and external jaws) which is mounted to a backplate integral with the spindle. The sliding tailstock has a calibrated feed and comes equipped with a fixed centre. The lathe can be mounted directly onto a suitable flat and firm work surface or on the optional cabinet stand. Supplied with 4" three jaw self-centring chuck, service tools, tailstock centre, change-wheels and chuck guard. The overall size is 915 x 650 x 560mm and the floor dimensions of the base are 830 x 325mm.

"I have owned one of these machines for approx 3.1/2 years and it has never let me down and is used for light trade to machine stainless steel every day, the only thing I have replaced is the reverse switch which was only pence to change and a couple of nuts and bolts which were found to be soft. Once set up you will have a excellent value for money machine capable of doing tough jobs to an acceptable level of accuracy."
