Stanley brace.

Rubbish. Time was that Stanley were good standard tools. Now they turn out low quality stuff like chisels with their logo stamped on the handle that rips your skin and is very uncomfortable to use. Who ever thought of roughing up a handle?

Stanley 5044 Brace

Don't bother if you wish to use this tool to make holes over 1/2" as I have experienced the the chuck components have twisted and have fell apart resulting in a lost chuck component for which Stanley do not supply any replacement parts so after occasional use since may last year I am now left with a useless tool.

Good quality, but struggles to grip small hex shank drill bits

I bought this recently, The drill is good quality, and works well if you've got drill bits with a good size (thick) shank. It struggles to grip thin round shank and hex shank bits. I'm currently looking for some old style square shank bits.
