In Detail

High strength waterproof glue specially formulated for multi-purpose applications. In addition to its superior wood-to-wood performance, it is equally effective for metal, ceramic, plastic, Corian, stone and other porous/non-porous materials. Ready to use, offering excellent sandability and unaffected by finishes. Thicker than traditional polyurethanes it provides a non-running, non-drip glue line for more precise applications. Polyurethane glues cure by moisture and an effervescence is a by-product of this, there is no strength in this and it is easily sanded off when dry, the glue will not become brittle with age and will not expand or contract in the joint. In very dry timber it may be necessary to moisten one surface to encourage curing to take place.

Titebond Poly-glue

Used this on numerous projects with good results. You do need to understand how this type of glue works and cures to get the best results.
It will "fill" small openings but the resulting foam is not a hard gap filler as I think some of the comments expected. Good for not so perfect joints.

Best I've every used!

Finds every nook and cranny so even the shakes in the timber get fixed at the same time. So easy to clean off wast glue - just scrape it off with paint scraper. seams to stick anything to anything! GREAT STUFF!

not like the "real" poly-urethane

the expanded "gapfilling" glue turns "crispy". Could scrape it off and out of the hole with my fingernails. Had to remove chairleg, clean the glue off -which was very easy!- and reglue it with a decent polyurethaneglue.

Great for Laminating

This is great for boat building. I used to use epoxy (and still do where my joints are not so good) but where wood surfaces mate well this is much better and less messy and easier to clean up afterwards. Also you only have to coat one surface, so it is a lot quicker. However, you do have to clamp well.

Rubbish, it crystalised

Put a job in a vacuum press for 4 hours, took it out, the veneer came unstuck. It had all crystalised.
