This 10mm aluminium insert plate measures 229 x 306mm and is designed to fit the UJK Technology cast iron, phenolic or MDF router table tops. This option is unusual in that it features a circular universal base attached to the underside of the plate with four machine screws. This base is pre-drilled to accommodate many different types of router and has a central hole of 64mm. This diameter of hole may limit the size of cutter you are able to use, but for the majority of cutters this should not present a problem. The benefit is that you are able to mount your router more easily without drilling the insert plate. It is supplied with a removable central insert ring with a 38mm diameter hole with a range of other hole sizes available. This includes one that will accept a standard threaded guide bush for template routing. A threaded lead-in pin is also supplied and provision has been for this to be located in a choice of positions.

Pitifully short on informationNice solid product (though mine was damaged on delivery, it looked like a return, and I didn't have time to return it). But it's pitifully short on instructions- sort of "if you'd bought our top you'd be set up now". It would have been useful to have *some* information on how to inlay it, and adjust the fit. This isn't a budget product!

Very good productI bought this as part of building a new router table. It is clearly designed as stated to compliment UKJs own bases, as I was building my own using 38mm Kitchen work top as a base some aspects required a little thought. The six levelling pins would not work well for very long on a chipboard or wooden base so I sat them on metallic inserts using 8mm rare earth magnets set in epoxy, the fastening bolts are designed to go into threaded inserts, rather than that I counterbored the underside of my table and used a nut and washer, I would have liked to see 4 rather than 2 points to hold down the plate. To be able to adjust the router hight from above the table it was necessary to drill a new hole in the plate to accommodate the winding key of my Bosch router. So it's not a total plug and play option specifically if you are building your own table but it is solid, does not bow and thats the reason I bought it, the multi drilled plate makes mounting the router very simple and secure, the anodised finish is very good also. All in all a very good product.
