The UJK Technology Pocket Hole Jig enables you to join material from 13mm to 100mm thick. The jig helps you to quickly make frames for furniture etc. It is an excellent tool for use in restoration and can be used to strengthen drawers or shelving without dismantling. Small and neat, this portable jig allows you to make pocket hole joints easily, on site or in situations where a standard jig is too large. It incorporates some unique features. A magnetic insert helps hold it in place while clamping. A dovetail recess allows you to securely link two or more jigs together for wider joints. Pocket hole joinery combines speed and simplicity. The joints are strong, accurate and hidden. Made in UK. Sold as the jig only.

Small but really great for large workI've had this a while but have only recently started using it for large work (i.e. with 60mm coarse long screws) and it's really great. You can line it up with the piece you want to fix then slide the drill down to see where it will come to, then set the jig accordingly. For example, with 44mm thick stock I set the front of the jig 50mm back from the end of the timber and fix the ring-stop on the drill to its maximum. With 96 x 44 mm studding timber I use 3 screws and get a surprisingly strong joint - a very handy option. I've not used it for much else yet as I've got the full UJK pocket hole kit.

Minijigs good but...the individual clamps are a great idea but an improvement would be to have a another dovetail key at the front to insert a premade spacer block indexed to the material thickness being joined, this would greatly assist the correct setting position for the jig away from the stock end? I have made hardwood packers but even a table of offsets against thickness would be a help. I also have the full jig big brother which is superb and very quick to set up so a slight dissappointment with the sibling even though it has its uses for repairs etc
