This plunge base converts almost any rotary multi-tool into a miniature plunge router for fine detail work. The 3/4" x 12 tpi threaded collar, found as standard on Dremel and many other rotary multi-tools, screws directly into the base. It gives you precise depth control when cutting recesses for hardware or inlay, or even freehand relief carving. The 100 x 75mm footprint makes it easy to position on narrow surfaces and close to edges. One side features a cutaway giving a view of the exact position of the blade. A micro-adjustable depth stop offers very precise control over the cutting depth. As with a full size router you can plunge or use the lock lever for continuous cuts. The base has rounded grooves on either side which form a natural grip for your fingertips giving better control. Made in Canada from aluminium with stainless steel rods and knobs.

Multi-tool routingA stunning bit of kit; not having (or needing) a full size router, I bought this to fill this gap in my workshops armoury. It is beautifully made and a pleasure to use. The only down side is that when combined with the optional fence and centre kit, it becomes a very expensive bit of kit.
