In Detail

One hand operation for rapid changes of bits. The bit is firmly retained with virtually zero play between the bit and the holder. The CentroFix has a patented 4-ball retention system which gives unrivalled accuracy and concentricity on longer screwdriver and drill bits. It takes all 1/4" hex bits, plain, waisted and even double ended bits with the same rock solid grip. It offers a high degree of accuracy, this is particularly important when using 1/4" shank drill bits.

Festool Centrotec.......

Along with 1/4" hex bits I can confirm Festool bits with Centrotec shafts will fit in this adapter securely. There is a picture on the Axminster item page which shows various Festool bits inserted into the Wiha adapter but in the description there is no mention of it working so I took a chance and it paid off. What would make this product even better would be the inclusion of a magnet.

I brought this on the recommendation of the other reviews here and have not been disappointed. Sure it is not magnetic but, when this is a problem I simply stick a conventional magnetic holder into the mix! This product really stands out when using hex shanked drill bits. A firm five star product.

Simply the best!

This bit holder has no competition. All other bit holders I have tried is wobbly with 1/4" hex shank drill bits. With this one they sit rock steady with zero play. It is also very easy to insert and extract bits, it can be done with a single hand movement.

I've tried quite a few bit holders including this one's brother the ClickFix, and other quality brands such a Wera and Trend, and this is the one I leave in my drill all the time. True, it doesn't have a magnet, but it grips everything so tightly that I've never missed it. In fact the tight grip is remarkable and it will hold on to just about everything, including plain double-ended hex screwdriver bits! Where it really scores is with hex-shank drill bits, the play in most bit holders is exaggerated by the length of a drill bit, but not here - it's rock solid.
In short, this is a very good bit holder, and not significantly dearer than other quality holders.

No Magnet!

A very good quality bit holder, but I assumed, incorrectly, that it would be magnetic. It isn't, and it's usefulness is therefore limited.
