Brilliant development of the blood pressure cuff

This is the rugged up inflatable part of a blood pressure monitor, and has saved me from many an otherwise blood pressure rising task. They really allows one to manage alone on tasks that otherwise would have required an assistant. They will lift heavy furniture so that a trolley can be pushed under. A few simple cradles have meant that I, using these Winbags for final adjustments, on my own have been able to mount and dismount some very heavy cabinets, doors, and old fashioned radiators full of water.

Though they probably cannot be used on sharp or pointed objects, the risk of puncture seems to be small when using them on wood. This far my only concern has been that it can be difficult to achieve a slow deflation of these bags.

Tool Box Essential

These are absolutely brilliant.
I have used them not only for levelling they also work a treat for popping off skirting boards etc.. On a recent bathroom refurb I even used one to release a toilet cistern from the wall after a fixing screw head had rusted away making it impossible to unscrew.

By 'eck these things are handy!

I just bought four, as I'm expecting to hang some doors soon. Then our roof started leaking, badly! So, how do you look under the frame of a 2sq metre solar water-heating panel, forty-five feet up in the air, whilst hanging off a rope in a harness? Answer, you loosen the bolts, and then slip a Winbag under the unit, so you can prise it up really gently. The spread load of the Winbag stopped it cracking the tiles underneath (a gorilla bar or similar was way too risky). I thought I'd need two, but one was quite enough, and the rough concrete tiles didn't even scuff it - Winbags are evidently tough as well as strong. Even better, I think I probably fixed the leak! Until that incident I was in two minds about the value (why did I buy FOUR?), but I can't think of any other way to have done it safely - even if I'd dropped the thing it would have gently landed in the back garden, unlike a wrecking bar! Forget lifting pianos (above)--I bet this is the weirdest application for one so far... :-)

Essential

A very essential piece of kit. I keep finding tasks for these that I never imagined when I bought them.
I cannot recommend them enough.

Winbags

If I could only have 10 things in my tool box, this would be one of them! I have had builders in doing some major work on my house, and to help move the piano around I made two 4 wheel dollies – when the builders left I still had some decorating to do so how was I going to get the piano back on its four wheels? Winbags worked a treat – with the right thickness of packing the piano was slowly lowered back to the ground. Since then I seen to find a use for them every week – very useful then taking off a door to cut some off the bottom for new floor covering – the door will stand on its own with all the screws removed, easy to remove from the hinge slots and then re-supported at the right height for fitting back. And the door with the rising butt hinges – taking off is easy, always more difficult to put back. just jack up on Winbags to the correct height – align, and let the air out – easy!!
