Decent buy

These bits certainly are hard, used them on stainless, structural steel and chrome and they've gone through the lot. I'd echo what a previous reviewer said though - they are hard but the small gauge bits are just as brittle as standard HSS bits and snap just as easily. Already said goodbye to the two smallest...will be popping into Axminster for replacements.

Wholly good

These drills are of excellent quality - out of interest I compared their performance with 'fresh from the packet' standard HSS bits and they won hands down - faster and cleaner holes every time! I obviously don't know yet about longevity, or how they would perform in a production environment, but for me, as a retired tradesman, they represent excellent value for money.

Amateur bits

They cut very well into A2 steel , anyway I broke 4 of them in few days of work ,so I'd advise the use of a pillar drill .
