Reasonable product

As said before razor sharp tools required. The "Horn" seems to be most prone to shattering or at least de-laminating lengthwise. First "Horn" blank wound up split lengthwise and scrap. Lesson learned!
The "Ivory" and "Tortoise shell" turned much better. All take an excellent shine with little effort. - Little pricey as 25mm is too big for normal pen turning hence a lot of waste.

These are easily turned on a lathe but it is very important that the tools used should be razor sharp because it can chip.... When turned to the desired shape sand with 400 grit dry, then 600 wet... Finish with Farecla compound with the lathe turning it polishes beautifully

I used the 50mI ivory bar as a part of the handle for a scandie knife I made - it cut well and polished up very well - looks like the real thing.
