In Detail

Next generation in wood drilling is the wood beaver bit which has four flutes and four cutting edges with spurs for rapid cutting, fast waste removal and ultra clean break through drilling. Designed especially for cordless drills, these bits have a short body length to maximise the battery's power and the 1/4" hex shank means it can be changed easily in the chuck or bit holder (N.B. The 32mm has 7/16" hex shank).

Nice clean hole but very aggressive to start.

I also bought this drill bit to drill dog holes in my 3 inch thich beech workbench top. I managed 5 holes before my electric drill started smoking! I will try the rest with pilot holes but the holes are very clean with no breakout.

Hang on tight

These are great bits, cut very clean holes.

Very aggressive though, I found I had to drill a pilot hole in my 3" beech worktop before using the 19mm bit.

Cuts Fast with a Clean Breakthrough!

I bought a 19mm bit on the off-chance that it might be capable of drilling a series of dog holes in my workbench top - and it surpassed my expectations! After drilling numerous holes in 3in. thick beech, not only did it leave a clean breakthrough on the underside but there's still plenty of life left in it! I recently lent this to a friend who wanted to 'pepper' his 40mm thick chipboard 'bench top and this bit is STILL hungry for more work!! They're not ideal for stopped holes and do cut quite aggressively - always keep both hands on the drill and you'll be as impressed as I was!
