In Detail

Designed for a first class result in all natural timbers and man-made boards, this blade is the perfect choice for professional use. It is particularly suited for mitre saws and would also suit workshop circular saws where a fine cut is required, particularly in laminate or faced boards.

The 5° negative rake enhances safety by giving a smooth start and preventing the blade from grabbing. It offers the benefit of cutting at a more controlled pace for a neater result. Top Centre Ground tooth grind profile where one flat top tooth is followed by a trapezoidal tooth which is slightly higher. The higher tooth cuts material narrower than final the kerf, helping to eliminate chipping in brittle materials such as chip board, and laminates.

Axcaliber Premium circular saw blades use the latest production techniques and the finest materials. The blades feature micro-grained TCT tips. The laser cut plates substantially reduce noise while cutting. A faint tensioning ring halfway across the plate indicates where each blade is individually pre-stressed, to guarantee smooth running.

The bore size is 30mm, various bore reducing bushes are available.

Excellent Saw Blade.

Installed into my Bosch GTS 10 XC Table Saw. I tried a few test cuts to assess the blade's cutting ability and performance. I was very impressed cutting through the 30 mm jarrah in one pass. I noted that there was virtually no resistance as the blade literally cut though like a hot knife through butter.

Using my older 80 tooth blade (even when new) I always needed to cut it in two passes and then take 1 to 2 mm off the face in one cut.

The faces and cut edges of the host wood and cut-off pieces were very sharp, clean cut with no visible tear-out. The same goes for the 19 mm MDF, beach ply and melamine faced chipboard, sorry this is all I had. I didn't see any point in cutting 2 inch thick soft pine.

During the jarrah tests I noted the obvious reduction in noise and the lack of resistance of the cut. The circular saw performed with effortless ease. I am of course delighted with this new blade. It must be said that the ease of cut is a clear indication the angles of rake, rake back clearances, side clearances and side back clearances are correctly ground. In short, the saw tool geometry is tip top.

This Axcaliber Blade is truly in a totally different class to anything I have ever had in the past. It is definitely not a cheap blade but in my opinion it is worth every penny.
