In Detail

Twin flute straight cutters are by far the most commonly used router cutter. With two parallel cutting edges, they produce an excellent clean finish. They have many uses cutting grooves, rebates, housings or dadoes etc. Twin flute straight cutters are also a good choice for shallow mortices, such as hinge recesses. Cutters below 9.5mm diameter do not have a bottom cut insert. However, due to their high running speed this is not particularly noticeable. When selecting cutters always choose the shortest cutter that will give the depth you require. Shorter bits minimise vibration, cut cleaner and give a longer tool life.

Axcaliber router cutters are high precision tooling, made using advanced technology on multi axis CNC machines. A high shear-cut angle gives them a smooth cutting action and results in a clean finish. The tips are diamond-ground micrograin tungsten carbide. Teflon coating minimises resin build-up.
