In Detail

Axminster Air 3 Year Guarantee

The most popular air nailer in our range, this lightweight trade-rated nailer fires 18 gauge T-headed brad nails from 15mm to 50mm in length and with its low air consumption can be used with any of the smaller 25L capacity compressors. It can be used with standard trigger firing or in bump mode where, with the trigger engaged, a nail is delivered each time the safety stop is depressed, useful for fast fixing. The gun is easy to load and has a re-load sight so that the operator can see when the magazine is empty. Other useful features are the depth adjustment which controls the depth to which the nail is driven, the adjustable air exhaust outlet and the quick release front cover to give easy access for clearing jammed nails. A 1/4" BSP male bayonet fitting is provided in the back of the tool for direct connection to the airline using quick release bayonet fittings. Details of suitable airlines and fittings can be found in the Air Hose's section. Supplied in a plastic storage case.

Nail gun

Superb service from Axminster.
Opted for free delivery and was Emailed informing me that the nail gun would come on the Tuesday after the august bank holiday. This was on the Thursday before.Bit disappointed as I had a project on the go that I wanted to finish over the weekend.Next day I got another message informing me that my package would arrive on the bank holiday Saturday. Which it did.Thanks.
Hooked it up to my compressor and set to it. Great bit of equipment very simple to use and has a quality feel to it. Made mincemeat of the cupboard backs I was pinning on.Very quick to use, quiet and no jamming.
Early days I realise but so far very good.

AW50N Brad nailer

I have had my AW50N for at least ten years and it has been a very reliable tool.
My AW50N does jobs I couldn't do with a hammer & nails. Absolutely fantastic for modifying and repairing fence panels; they would just fall apart if you hit them with a hammer. Shuttering is a lot faster with the AW50N loaded with 50mm pins. toe nailing joints that would be a pain with a hammer.
From the rough to the smooth.. I have fitted painted glazing beads without the normal 'half crowns' and just a dab of gloss to hide the head.
An air nailer seems a luxury extravagance until you try one.

Great tool !

I didn't own a brad nailer because I'd never had a project which required me to have one but now I had. And I needed it quick. These days my first (and usually only) go-to site is Axminster's and this one had an attractive price tag as well as the right specs and the right reviews ! Ordered it together with some nails. The item was delivered very quickly so I could start out all in time. The nailer makes a good first impression and it immediately felt 'right' in my hand. Before I could give it a, well, shot I needed to change the connector. It just didn't fit the one I have on my compressor's extension hose. A minor problem and a couple of minutes later I was test firing 15mm nails into a piece of scrap wood. Wow ! That worked great ! The nails were in the wood just at the right depth. I wondered about the longer 35 mm nails I'd also ordered. Easy to exchange the different sets. A few seconds later... Bang ! The longer nail also went in perfectly, without a single adjustment to the tool. A day later I bought some 50mm stainless nails from a different supplier and they too got shot without any problem. Even through hard knots they went. Now that I have this tool, I know I'll use it quite often. It's really that handy to have and easy and reliable to operate. Thanks, Axminster, for a wonderful, affordable tool as well as for your excellent service.

Great piece of kit, well worth the money.

I received an Axminster offers E-mail, and on it was this (Axminster Air AW50N 18G Brad Nailer)
It was great timing because it was exactly what i was after to finish a project I've been working on.
I had to buy a small compressor, so i chose the Axminster Air AWC20HP Compressor, which looked like it could handle my application.
Ordered at 1.30pm and received both items the next day at 10.49 am.
arrived in perfect condition.
went to my Studio and quickly read both manuals, did all the pre prep things to the brad nailer and to the compressor.
and started work.
MY GOD this is a combination made in heaven. the compressor keeps up with the nailer.
gluing and pinning bendy MDF to 2ft radius's worked a charm.
