The Axminster Bench Top Edgebander is built to apply smooth flawless edgings, using banding pre-coated with hot melt adhesive. The heat source comes from a German made Steinel industrial heat gun with a variable temperature control from 100°C to 200°C, to suit different materials and feed rates. A large rear table supports a roll of banding, whilst the main work surface is laminated to ensure the work passes smoothly in front of the pressure roller. Both fences and banding guides are fully adjustable for applying banding up to 55mm wide. The Edgebander is fitted with a built in knife that cuts the banding a fraction over length prior to a final trim. Comes complete with spring loaded double edged hand trimmer.

Jet edge bander. Change of name to Axminster ?Yes is a bit slow.there are two problems . 1. Tape guides no very accurate not easy to set. 2.base needs strengthening to over come the flexing of the base round about the pressure roller areas . Other slow but can do a good bond once setup

Slow, slow, quick-quick, slow.If you're good with an iron and a block of wood, and have been doing it that way for years, this won't reward your curiosity nor improve your results. At the price point you can't fault the build quality, but it simply isn't substantial enough to handle large pieces safely and consistently. Whatever time saving had in the initial application will be undone with constant checking of the bond and, commonly, revisiting areas with the aforementioned iron and block. Bit of a while elephant this one.

Jet JEB-150 Bench Top Edge Bander"Oh no, here we go again!" was my first thought on this machine, after trying in vain to assemble it - the holes in the rear table not corresponding to those at the back of the machine. Nothing that a bit of filing couldn't cure. Other than that, this machine is fantastic; the speed, quality and consistency of application are superb, I wish I'd have bought one years ago. The double sided trimmer also does a really neat job, quickly and easily.
