Good product has served me well

I purchased my bench around 2008 and am now looking to replace it as my needs have changed. This is a well made bench, fairly thin steel construction but when assembled rock solid. I have used mine for 10 years for business purposes and have really punished it, but it still looks good and works well. As others have said the runners on the drawers are pretty poor, grease helps this but ball bearing runners would be a better. The handles on the drawers are also a bit naff, I replaced them years ago with some I made. Over all for the money a good product for business or home use.

A real sturdy work bench

I have had one of these for five years now and could not manage without it. I agree that the drawer runners are pretty poor ard do let the product down. However, when I built mine up, I smothered the drawer runners in grease. These drawers are full of quite heavy engineering tools and I have not had any problems with them. So, for anyone thinking of buying one of these, greasing the drawer runners upon initial assembly will improve things quite a bit.

Good overall but terrible drawer handles

Had this for a couple of years, the drawer runners are awful and the drawer handles have nearly all broken off now.

Nice bench

I was unfaised by the reviews complaining about the bad instructions as I'm a flat-pack assembler from way back but the description of how the draws fitted had me scratching my head a bit. Nice solid bench. A few dents and dings on a couple of the draws though but nothing serious.

Great bench, good value, pity about the structions

Ordered Monday pm arrived Tuesday am using "standard free' delivery option! Bench is robust and rigid once assembled, left bolts and nuts loose until the unit was turned upside down sitting on its top. Everything was then square for the final tightening. As others have said, the instructions, essentially those relating to the runners are very poor. Best to make yourself a cup of something and work it out yourself, at the end of the day they only go together one way, it's just not immediately obvious. I find the runners operate satisfactorily once sprayed with a silicon lubricant. Overall very pleased should of got one years ago, I find the height just right. As a bit of light relief read those instruction again and you will better understand what the writer having only a limited grasp of English was trying to achieve. What's wrong with sketches? Works for Ekea.
