In Detail

The EB-3 is the original, patented, rock solid, dead accurate triangular mitre guide. The solid triangular configuration keeps the guide absolutely rigid, even at the outermost end of the fence. No movement in the fence means no movement in the work, which equals no gaps in the mitre joint. The guide will fit into any 19 x 9mm (3/4" x 3/8") mitre guide slot, the guide bar actually expands in three places to provide a perfect fit in the guide slot. The fence can be adjusted sideways to be tight to the blade, and can be extended up to 42" from the blade. A flip-over stop is provided. The index graduations are clear and easy to read, the scale being large enough to set at half or quarter degrees with confidence. There is an indexing detent plunger for setting the guide at common angles. The accuracy should be perfect out of the box, but a simple, locking calibration mechanism is provided if required. The whole fence can be set for left or right handed operation with no tools in a few seconds.

This mitre guide is so simple and its easy to set precise angles. Your work is not truly accurate until you have the Osborne EB-3 mitre guide.

Simply superb

Been using this for a few years now and could not disagree more with the reviewer who says it is a 'toy' Nothing flexes in use (what was he doing to flex it??) and it is bang-on accurate right from the box. An absolutely superb piece of kit. I sold my sliding table in preference to this.

I love the Osborne Mitre Guide

I was pleasant surprised when I first saw the box off the Osborne EB3, that looks
very good en promised a lot.
When I opened the box, first what noticed me was how ordered the content looks,
It looks like it put there with love for the product.
When I took out the mitre guide, the first ting what surprised me was the heaviness
from the mitre Guide, it field like very solid mitre Guide.
I find that the operation manual is very good and clear, even I could follow it
To put the Osborne together was no problem and the set up was also easy.
It is also great that you can extend the Osborne and when he extend he keeps stable.
The only thing I did not use is the special tape for on the front off the Osborne.
First I think the Osborne looks better without and I think there is a possibility
that the wood is gone get damaged.
I use the Osborne now for a couple off years, but for me no other mitre Guide.

over promise under deliver

this could be a decent product but there are aspects that just show what it is: a toy.
-the flip stop flexes with light pressure
-the flip stop cannot be attached when using a sacrificial backing board to avoid splintering
-last bust not least, when set at 45 deg acute angle with the blade (on the left) the arm is fully extended and guess what: it flexes at the joining point so much that the fence is off by 2mm at the end.
