A simple clamp set which can be located in holes either in a benchtop or in separate timber beams to provide a means of assembling multi-board panels. A second timber bar can be positioned on the opposite pins of the clamping blocks to stiffen up the whole assembly. The clamps are usually used in pairs for shorter timber lengths and three, or even more, when clamping longer lengths. The removable handle keeps the work area clear once the clamps have been tightened. European made.

Need to produce clamps more suitable for thinner boardsAs another reviewer said. They seem to be great but you need to produce some for thinner boards. I do a lot of work using floor boards and they are 18 or 22mm finished thickness. The clamp pads are around 26mm so I had to be inventive. They are very substantial and are clearly capabable of producing much more pressure than the AL sash cramps I normally use and far more than is required. I think something with pads around 15mm and an 8mm thread would be nice.

Good product if glueing specific size boardsBought these as a cheaper alternative to the Veritas panel wonder clamps. Providing cheaper but as good quality copies of a product is something Axminster are very good at. Obviously you make your own cauls or beams. However, only suitable for boards thicker than the actual fitting on the clamp. So if you plan to clamp boards narrower than 1 inch probably no use at all as the caul will just tighten against the nut and not the boards. Perhaps this should mentioned in the listing???
