In Detail

Trade Classification & 3 Year Guarantee

This is a small, highly portable cyclone extractor, aimed at the smaller workshop with many different types of woodworking machinery in use. Having a high efficiency separation system means that the air passing to the filter is 99% clean of waste, maintaining a high airflow for top performance. The filter has a 1 micron @ 100% filtration performance and is fitted with a simple manual cleaning system. A manometer gauge gives an easy visual performance reference. The large waste bin is 105 litres and is easy to remove and empty. Fitted with sturdy castors, this extractor is quite mobile so is easy to move from machine to machine. However, with a 150mm inlet it also lends itself to be fitted to a permanent ducting system. Minimum inlet hose size 100mm. Able to run from a standard 13A plug, it is an attractive proposition for a small trade workshop or a keen amateur in a home workshop.

This is a dangerous Toy

We bought one of these extractors with the optional HEPA filter for our CNC router and it's a disgrace. The folded metal seams aren't sealed and lead to considerable dust blowout. This leads to dangerous MDF dust exiting the unit.

Furthermore, the hook tabs for the lower dust collection bin are made of the most flexible metal available and bend at the slightest whisper of force. This means that it's impossible to fully tighten and seal the bin to the collector outlet.

We'll be contacting Axminster directly shortly to escalate this as the safety of our workforce is at risk.

My solid advice is to stay away from it if you really place value on solid engineering and most importantly - your health.

All in all, a typical cheap Chinese piece of crap, well overpriced. Axminster - you need to seriously consider withdrawing this unit from sale.

It does what it says on the tin but the tin is to small

This is by no means a trade machine I bought one of these extractors a month ago it is a good extractor with one very small but extreme limitation.THE WASTE drum size!!!! Today I planed 4 pieces of 6”x1” by 2 metres thats a grand total of eight metres of timber. The result both bags totally full. You then have to stop work empty the course drum and the fine bag which is now full of shavings as well clean the rest of the shavings with your hands from the cyclone replace the bags and try again.Time machining 15 mins=8metres of finished timber + twenty mins clearing blocked extractor
Total 35 mins.So if you would like to machine more than 8metres of timber which is by no means excessive this extractor is not for you.

I should have noticed this limitation in the showroom but didn’t

The only solution I can think of is to raise the stand by three feet and fabricate a taller drum,so that it will take larger bags. But after spending well over £750.00 I feel rather disappointed.

A couple of issues, now resolved.

I was missing on of the leg connecting brackets but was given a fourth (unnecessary) wheel.
Connecting bracket was promptly dispatched from Axminster.

One other issue is the bags- you are supplied two bags,
The manual isn't clear which one goes where and the pictures are slightly misleading.
One small one that hangs off the filter and another large one that is the right diameter for the storage bin but is way too long to fit the bin.
Best cut down the long one, don't try to reverse them0- the long bag will fit the filter but there is no way the filter bag will fit the bin.
Other than that, excellent piece of kit.

good - i recommand it

I received the machine two weeks ago and i had to adjus the legs with an home made bracket due to a missing part. However the Axminster seller was helpful and i receive the missing parts yesterday.
My home made parts were strong enough to let the machine work and it is wery efficient with a sander JET 22/44 plus a 260 mm planer.
Just a little problem: the fine dust bag collects some chips (not fine) and i dont know how to fix that, but in conclusion, i am satisfied of that purchase; the air is safer than be"fore in my little workshop.

PS: sorry for my expression, i am french

Cyclone extractor T2000CK

Apart from 3 missing parts that were left out by Axminsters suppliers two of which have been received. Had this machine existed it would have saved me buying 3 other type of vacuum devices. I am using it in a conjunction with a piped chip and dust system in my workshop, and very pleased in the way it sorts out the dust from the solids also the way it prevents the filter clogging up and degrading the suction as in my older units.
Not the noisiest of my previous items, being piped in from a separate room it is very quiet.
The last undelivered part the filter bag is a strange size and previous Axminster bags don't fit.
All in all this machine was a long time getting into the public domain but now its here, it's a god-sent addition to my workshop.
