The Bosch 1250 CE Router has a number of unique features that make it an excellent choice for either the professional or the discerning home user. Most importantly, there’s a high torque, ‘Softstart’ 1250W motor, which will provide ample power for almost any routing function. There’s an ergonomic handle, which can be altered for different grip positions, together with flat-top, and also a patented spindle lock with a ‘park position’, both of which make changing the cutter far more convenient. The plunge depth is a respectable 60mm with a patented ‘after lock’ fine adjustment for precise and comfortable working. Enhanced visibility of the cutter is provided by innovative footplate geometry and the baseplate is transparent, also increasing the visibility of the workpiece and relevant markings. Supplied with parallel side fence with fine adjuster, LBoxx, template guide, 1/4" and 8mm collets and 19mm spanner.

Good machine.. Better than festool? NoIt's a very good router to say it's a copy of the OF1010 & OF1400 (which I already have). It's quiet and smooth running which you would expect from Bosch but there were 2 things that I didn't like when using it 1- The flat sections of the that form a v are awkward to use when holding it up to a straight edge and it created a choke point for the power lead and debris to get trapped in 2- The power trigger handle is a good improvement on past Bosch routers but the down turn of the handle is too close to the work piece which kept fouling on cramps used to hold jigs in place. I used for 2 days before going back to my festool routers. It is a very good machine but the festool beats it in every way...... well maybe not the price point.

Truly excellent routerWith over 30 years of using routers in industrial environments, the Bosch is a complete revelation. I have been using this router for 3 months and it is truly outstanding. Very similar in design to the Festool OF1010 but with far superior ergonomics and overall handling. Handle design has been arranged to provide easy and precise control when using the machine over long periods. Depth stop is accurate and repeatable, complete opposite of the Festool version which needs to be checked continuously. Collets are excellent and allow repeatable, vibration free cutting. This router is my go to machine with the Festool OF1010 now surplus to requirements.
