Very poor quality power cord

Tool itself brilliant until it stopped working after just over three years of occasional use. Tool shows no sign of abuse or damage but I've been informed by Bosch UK that a broken power cable is normal wear and tear after three years. What a load of rubbish! My old Bosch jigsaw lasted more than 25 years, and finally it was just "worn out". I have an old Black & Decker drill with original power cable still working after 32 years. Rang Bosch UK on (0) 344 7360 109 and again was told the same, that this is normal wear and tear. Quite disgraceful and I certainly will not buy any more Bosch "Professional" powertools. They describe this particular jigsaw on the Bosch website as "very robust". Far as I'm concerned the power cable was not fit for purpose and they weren't even prepared to suit me a new one foc that I would have fitted myself.

Additon to Workshop

The Jigsaw is nice to handle and feels good and comfortable in the hand.
It has plenty of power and the variable speed is useful for precision work.
I do have a fault with the saw however, the sawing guide is difficult to see (it is a raised section of Perspex on a clear Perspex base) and I find it hard to follow the cutting line as the blade is set back under the nose of the machine. This has knocked my recommendation I am afraid.
