The Bridge City Kerfmaker is a unique tool; small, neat and precision machined from anodised aluminium. This tool is foolproof; in three easy steps, it will transform the cutting of grooves or dadoes on a table saw, bandsaw, mitre saw or router tables Use it when cutting grooves for sheet material, as well as box making, drawer making and lap joints.
It takes just three easy steps to an exact fit; the sort of fit that brings on a smile. Using a test cut in a piece of scrap, set and lock the kerf width on the orange slide. Place the stock to fit into the groove or dado between the dark grey slide and the base and tighten the lock nut.
Use the Kerfmaker to reference a fence or stop on the machine; the base denotes one side of the groove, the overall length the other side.
Taking settings directly like this removes any chance of error due to transfer of measurements or calculation. The resulting groove or dado width will be exactly the same width as the piece of stock used as a reference - guaranteed. Max groove width 50mm.
Perfectly sized grooves in three simple steps.
Step 1: Set the orange slider to the kerf of the blade.
Step 2: Set the grey slider to the width of the material to go into the groove.
Step 3: Using the Kerfmaker against a stop, cut one side of the groove, flip it over and cut the other side, then remove the waste. A perfect fit; guaranteed.
