Excellent finish for low duty applications

Having used Chestnuts Lemon Oil on my mainly Oak projects I was very happy with it but did find that it dulled in time and lacked depth so I tried using Woodwax 22 ontop of my normal 3 or 4 coats of Lemon Oil as Chestnut recommended, I applied one liberal coat of wax with a soft cloth, waited half an hour for it to dry and then buffed off with a clean cloth and repeated again which left a super smooth neutral finish over the lemon oil but gave the finish depth and a beautiful sheen and unlike lemom oil by itself this did not dull in time, in my opinion the perfect finish for Oak if the project is not going to be handled a great deal (otherwise the wax can be affected by heat and liquids and blemish). Not the quickest finish but well worth the effort an I'm sure would look great on most woods if you just want to enhance the natural beauty of the wood without darkening it.
