In Detail

These shallow flute detail gouges are great for cutting coves and beads. Vibration is minimised by having more metal as support under the cutting edge. A fine fingernail-shaped grind gives very easy entry to the start of the cut. Fitted with a 317mm (12.1/2") long handle.

Detail Gouge

A dificult tool to master...eventually... fantastic results can be achieved,,for me the trick is "Attack it with confindence or suffer the consequence."

ive had a few too many cathes with this but thats down to me. the reason i only scored this 4 stars is because i simply dont get to us it often enough. most of my shaping is done with the spindle gouge then a skew to detail not a vital tool but a useful one at times
