Simply the best

My experience with these diamond stone goes back over three years. I own three myself (extra course, fine and extra extra fine) and teach at a college where two sets of small Bench Whetstones have been in constant use for about seven years. The college ones are very worn but still sharpen well. My own are still like new and I get excellent results from them. Although expensive to buy initially the investment is well worth it. They will give years of great results in the contentious world of sharpening!

Works good, if you don't buy defective one

I bought two DMT bench stones in Fine and Extra-Fine grit-size. Fine grit stone looks good to me, however it doesn't have diamonds coating near the edges (about 3-4 mm from the edge). But at least it has smooth matte surface. But Extra-Fine grit stone is great disappointment - it has a lot of scratches and high spots on its surface. Actually it looks like unfinished product. I tried to use Extra-Fine stone - and it doesn't feel right, because it leaves deep scratches on the bevel. Also blade jumps a little while sharpening because of that high spots. There a lot of reviews like mine in internet, just check yourself. I regret that I didn't read them earlier. So I don't recommend buying DMT products, quality is far from good (miles away from No.1 as the say). It is shame.
