Don't buy

Epoxy coating allows moisture in causing rust under the coating. This makes the square totally useless and a waste of money surprised Axminster stock this rubbish.

I like it under another name

I do agree with most of the above comments. The tool is certainly robust, solidly built, clearly marked and most important of all, square! However, it is not overly refined, it would not be my first choice for furniture making or such. However, I use it for framing work, big rough oak timbers, mostly working outside. For this "rough and tumble" environment I find this tool very well suited and excellent value for money.
Axminster should probably label this a "framing square" instead of "layout square" in the article title.

Expect corrosion

Tool looked and worked great for a few months after which unexpected corrosion started to set in. This makes the epoxy coating bubble and makes for a very uneven straight edge.

Rough tool

Plastic coating does not protect from corrosion and this together with poorly cut edges makes this a pretty rough tool that I would not buy again.

good, but...

Solid build and clear markings on the surface. The edges are a little jagged from the laser cutting process and there is a plastic type protective laquer over the metal which makes it feel a bit cheap but will protect it agains rust. Good for roughing out and squaring up large joints but there is probably a better product out there for more accurate work.
