The Faithfull nail puller is the perfect tool for removing nails from most materials, lifting floorboards, opening wooden crates and dismantling wooden structures. This specialist tool can even extract nail heads recessed below surface level and features a malleable cast iron slide handle with a hinged, drop-forged gripping jaw fixed to a box joint for extra strength. The tool is used by positioning the jaws on either side of the nail head before slamming down the slide handle to drive the jaws into the timber and under the nail head. The handle is then levered forwards using the base heel as a leverage point to keep the jaws tight whilst extracting the nail. 600mm (24").

Design efficiencyI have purchased a number of items from Axminster Tools including machine tools over the years. However, I didn't get my Faithful Nail Puller from Axminster Tools because I have owned one since the 1960s.' Having used other types of nail pullers, wrecking bars and levers it is my opinion that The Faithful Puller is the best tool for the job. It is easy to use, Does very little damage (no split timber) and nails can be removed at a faster rate than any other method. Headless nails can be removed by ensuring the jaws dig into the shaft of the nail before applying the force necessary to extract it. Like every tool, it takes a few minutes practice to get it right. One final tip - the puller works best when used in line with the grain of the timber. Buy one, you won't be sorry!
