Poor for the price

Bought this item for some heavy use, its used multiple times a day 5 days a week. I thought that festool would be a good brand to go with because of the name and the number of other festool products owned. I thought that the cutter would be up to a better standard and would last longer than other brands that are cheaper and less well known and that if I ever needed to purchase replacement parts I would be able to get hold of them as I do with other festool items. Within 6 months the blades were dull and the lever had broken, fine no problem we can get a new lever and blade its getting heavy usage after all... The lever came out at £16.38, okay price in line with what I would expect from festool the blades however are £98.34! That's almost the cost of the device again! At the end of the day that's my fault for not checking before buying but when other festool replacement blades and parts come out at a somewhat standard reasonable price I wasn't expecting to be caught out like that. The blades have been sharpened for the meantime while I look for a new (different brand) cutter but it effects the performance of the product because now the blades don't come together completely meaning the cut isn't as smooth as it one was. Bottom line is that it would be a good choice if it was half the price.
