The ETS 150mm sander pad is eccentric in action with minimal vibration for excellent working results. With a 3mm orbit it is suitable for fine finishing, sanding wood, varnish, paint, fillers and plastic.
You can be assured of a faultless finish with step less speed preselection so you can choose the correct speed to suit the work, constant electronics for consistent speed under load and a sanding pad brake. Fitted with dual bearings that make them very durable and Plug it cable system.
Fitted with a MULTI-JETSTREAM 2 pad, this works using intake air and exhaust air to generate airflow transporting the sanding dust away from the pads surface so that the abrasive wears evenly without clogging as well as keeping the surface at a low temperature. The result is almost 100% dust extraction for an improved rate of material removal, a better finish and a healthy working environment. Made from MPE high tear resistant material the pad is also very durable.
Supplied with MULTI-JETSTREAM 2 sanding base (soft), sanding sheet, disposable dust bag and stacking Systainer® T-LOC SYS3 storage case.

ExcellentThis is an amazing sander that since buying I can't do without. There is minimal vibration when using it and the adjustable speed is great when you're frightened of burning through.

Long are the daysA great, easy to use sander and fantastic when connected to my clt dust extractor . The finish is great ,second to none ,that's when you go through your grits. The obtain finish is superb as their are no score marks due to sanding disks getting clogs , you can use the Mirka mesh disks which works great too as well as festool disk. Once you spray varnish your work ,you'll soon think you are operating from a high end workshop.the variable speeds is a bonus as for applying fine finishes and veneer work. If you are in to fine carpentry I will recommend the 3mm orbit, if you are more in to general carpentry then go for the 5mm as its much aggressive.

Best I've usedI've been using the 3mm orbit version of this sander for several years now. It's the most often used sander in my workshop. Prior to that I used Bosch, Metabo, Makita plus others. Nothing I've used comes close to the quality and lack of vibration of the Festool ETS for random orbit finish sanding. I also use Festool Rotex sanders which, while very good sanders, are harder to control than the superb ETS. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 3mm version but I would recommend looking at the Rotex sanders if you're considering the 5mm orbit ETS for faster stock removal because Rotex sanders feature additional benefits if it's rapid stock removal you're after, even if they are slightly harder to control. If you do got for an ETS, you won't regret it. It's one of those investments that keeps paying back the longer you own it...

Top toolA nice easy to use light weight sander, I chose the 3mm orbit as I am a cabinet maker and the finish is fantastic. Trying to get hold of 8 hole sanding discs other than festool ones is a little difficult which is why I only scored it 4 out of 5. When attached to an extractor you won't notice any dust escaping into the air or onto your workpiece. The variable speed is very useful and for fine finishing on veneers a lower speed is essential to achieve a desirable finish.
