In Detail

2 Year Warranty

The Fuji Mini-Mite 3 Platinum system is an upgraded version of the Mini-Mite 3. It has a three stage turbine power unit, 7.6m (25') of 3/4" bore hose and now incorporates the Fuji Heat Dissipation Box (HDB) found on the top of the range Platinum models. The HDB expels excess heat from the turbine resulting in much cooler operating temperatures and longer motor life. It is similar in most respects to the Q3 model but without the cost of the Q3's noise deadening package. Despite this, the Mini-Mite 3 Platinum is really as quiet as any comparable HVLP system on the market. Most finishes can be sprayed, including inks, stains, lacquers, varnishes, enamels, acrylics and so on, although some will have to be thinned before use. Included with the unit is Fuji's very comprehensive guide which covers all aspects of HVLP spraying in great detail. There is a choice of spray guns, spray gun is not included.

Fuji Reply

Firstly we would just like to say that we regret the problem that you experienced with your Mini Mite 3 turbine. The Mini Mite 3 is typically a very reliable turbine and problems like these rarely occur.

Fuji does pride itself on producing great quality products, and having the best customer service in the industry. Your turbine does have a full 2 year warranty so we will be sending a replacement free of charge.

Some things to keep in mind.

1) We have found that most turbine failures have usually been the result of the environmental conditions that they have been exposed to. Poor air circulation or exposure to lots of dust or overspray being most common.

2) Turbines do get hot, that’s normal.

3) Fuji recommends that the turbine be kept on the floor at all times, never elevated such as on a work stool or table. The reason for this is that when you elevate the turbine, much of the warm air that meets the bend in the hose will blow back into the turbine causing it to overheat prematurely.

4) Be sure to keep the turbine 15 to 20 feet away from your spray area.

5) Be sure to wash or change your filters regularly. This will allow the free flow of clean cooler air.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach out to Fuji directly. We’re always happy to help.
