Buy more than you think you need!

My experience exactly! This stuff is good and give a pleasing finish, but it is rapidly absorbed on (admittedly) older timber.

Good, but coverage not as stated

Have just applied a second coat to a 3m2 table top, it is clear I don't have enough of the oil left for the recommended third coat. No view on durability yet but it seems a good product. But I am going to have to order a second 1lt tin now to ensure I can do a third coat. No great disaster as I will have it then for a regular recoat as recommended for maintenance, but it means I will have to pay delivery twice now when if the coverage info was more accurate I could have bought two tins at the same time.
