Very pleased, better than anticipated!

Great tool very expensive but is worth the money. Before buying this I was using a record block plane which now seems like a paper weight in comparison to this plane! Very well machined good finish and adjusments are very acurate, takes a very clean cut even on difficult grain!

A joy to use and the Best plane of its type

I have the 4.5 plane and love it so to compliment it I bought the 60 ½ and am again impressed. I seem to use this plane much more than I ever imagined that I would and it handles very well. I like the ability to adjust the movable shoe which is useful for tricky woods. It is expensive but good value and is in a different league compared to the cheap Record planes.

Lee Neilson 60 1/2 low angle block plane

My third L-N plane. Unlike some block planes of alternative manufacture, it fits the hand nicely and its performance, straight from the box, is a long way up front.

The best there is

Went into the store in Basingstoke to look at block planes and there was no doubt in my mind how awesome this plane is. Others in the shop just didn't have the ergonomics and quality feel. This is now my third Lie Nielsen and I don't think it will be the last.
