The Makita DHR281ZJ SDS+ rotary hammer drill uses 2 x 18V batteries giving it a massive 36V of power (supplied as body only). The only noticeable difference between this and a similar size SDS+ mains drill is the lack of a mains cable.
The DHR281ZJ is a 3-function SDS+ drill. The choice is rotation with hammer for rapid drilling into concrete, rotation only drilling for metal/wood or hammer only for chiselling. Whatever the material or the task the DHR281ZJ gives fast and efficient results.
It comes with an additional quick-change keyless chuck. The SDS+ chuck simply unclips allowing you to fit the keyless chuck. This vastly broadens the range of drill bits you can use and widens the scope of the drill.
It has a highly efficient brushless motor giving battery runtimes up to 50% longer compared to an equivalent brushed motor. These motors offer a long and maintenance free working life.
Additional features include a slip clutch, XPT protection against dust and splash water, a low-capacity warning indicator for each battery and a built-in LED spotlight.
This is a body only tool and is compatible with Makita 18V LXT batteries. Supplied with keyless quick-change chuck, auxiliary handle, depth stop and Makpac 4 Case.
