Good value for money

This is a very good planer overall, especially at the price. Now that I have set up the blades correctly, it gives a good smooth action and finish. The one downside is that it is extremely fiddly to get the blades set up correctly and evenly - it took me at least three attempts.

Good Tool

not my first plane, but this is the best I have used so far.
I nearly went for a 4mm plane, but they tend to be a bit heavy for single hand use, this is easy to use one handed, gives a very good finish, and due to the 50mm chip eject hole doesn't clog up, and throws the chips a long way ......... next buy must be a bag to collect all the chips !
would have been nice to have a trigger that 'locks on' and a proper Makita plastic box for it, but at this price it is a weapon you need in your collection.
