In Detail

This unique formulation turns any emulsion paint into chalk paint. It creates a soft looking, velvety smooth, dead flat finish for walls or furniture. Perfect for a sympathetic historic or vintage look, use it to repurpose, recycle, renovate and reuse furniture. Mix one part Chalk Paint Maker with two parts matt emulsion of your colour of choice. The coverage and the drying time will be the same as the original emulsion paint.

Polyvine Chalk Paint Maker will coat wood, stone, ceramic, primed metal and primed matt plastic. All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt or contaminants. Clean off any wax with white spirit. Varnished or painted surfaces rarely need priming; bare metal and plastic will require a primer. In most cases, one coat is sufficient, if applying a second coat lightly rub down. For a distressed look, apply two coats of contrasting colours; when dry rub through the top coat to reveal patches of the base colour.

The paint is low odour; brushes and tools simply wash clean with water.
