Excellent mini-drill/grinder.

By all accounts the Proxxon range of mini drill/grinders are superior to the equivalent Dremels, and this Proxxon drill is certainly well made and runs smoothly. It is larger and heavier than MiniCraft drills I have used in the past, and therefore a little more unwieldy for delicate work such as glass engraving, which is why I also bought the flexible shaft which allows for very fine, delicate control. By marrying the 50/EF variable speed control drill with the NG2/E variable output mains adapter (rather than the NG/S adapter) the drill speed can be controlled from 0 - 25,000 rpm (rather than 5000 - 25,000rpm). I was slightly concerned that the drill might not have an on/off switch, but it is integral with the speed control dial and requires turning fully anticlockwise until it clicks off.

I thhink it will do

I brought this along with thepower supply for wargame scenery biulding and model making. A little disappointed that it does not have a seperate on/off switch. How ever seems wel made with very little vibration when being hand held and as I have only had it an hour time will tell
