Flash bang..had it just over 2 yrs done very little work really, perhaps 10 hrs all together, just light carving (spoons), flash bang the motor blows 110 to have it fixed, I was going to but this has happened to others, so I'll find a replacement that's hopefully more reliable.

PROXXON CARVERI have had mine about three years and only used it occasionally. I found it good for letter carving however the motor blew up under very little load and after very few total hours used. It is out of warranty so I am not much impressed.

Good until they seizeNice performance with little vibration, but. 1st one lasted 10 months, 2nd lasted 9 months. 3rd one didn't get ordered as the price hike has put me off completely so will look elsewhere for something else. Tool has only been used for light lettering and occasional eyes on chainsaw carvings, so maybe a couple of hours a week. As a tool, I like them but the cost of replacing them has got me down.

disapointinglooks and feels well made and im sure the motor could keep going for years as most tools to. My experience was that within the first hour of using mine the head had broken. Axminster replaced iteam quickly without any issue. 2nd carver is working ok but have noticed some play on the shalf developing over first hour. This may not get anyworse and will carry on working for years. but this sideways play in the shalf is amplified when using a long holder/chisel setup as i do with the Flexcut SK bits and adaptor. makes precion work difficult. Also the on/off switch is placed badly. keeps getting knocked off in use. appart from that its a low noise and low vibration unit. not used the supplied chisels. im sure they could do some roughing out work but are cheap. Flexcut chisels are way better.
