In Detail

These arbor mounted foam pads have 1/4" shanks and are available in 50mm(2") and 75mm(3") diameters. The hook and loop mounted discs, which are available in a full range of grits, have many applications and are particularly suited to sanding and finishing turned bowls. The foam conforms to the curve and the contra rotations of the lathe and drill mounted pad eliminate swirl marks to produce a fine finish.

Provide great results if used correctly

I have been using this kit in my drill press for about a year now to sand the bottom of circular recesses with great results. The trick is to use very little pressure and let the sanding pad do all of the work, while you move the piece underneath it. They have allowed me to evenly sand flat bottoms, right to the edges inside many of my makes.

I haven't personally used them in a lathe, but I believe it is much easier with the piece I am working on laying safely flat on the pillar drill table. I get great results, would Recommend.

Save your money

Rubbish kit.
Failed the second time I used it.
It says max 25,000 revs
The lathe was running at 1200rpm and corded drill at 2600rpm, foam split from arbor.
Bad design the foam pad is too thick creating excessive torque.
