In Detail

Pocket hole joinery is all about making strong, hidden joints that are fast and easy to produce.

The UJK Pocket Hole Jig complete kit can be bench mounted or portable, containing all you need. It is suitable for many applications from furniture making to kitchen fitting, giving very strong frames and carcases.

A strong, hidden joint is produced using a jig and drilling a hole at an angle into one workpiece, then joining it to a second workpiece with a self-tapping screw. Speed comes from the fact that the self-tapping screw eliminates the need to pre-drill the mating workpiece. This avoids many alignment problems caused by having to lay out and drill for aligning fasteners as with dowel, biscuit and mortice and tenon joints. Strength comes from the self-tapping screw as an internal clamp, eliminating clamping the joint as the glue dries. Save time and the frustration of clamping, as well as the problems associated with pulling the assembly out of square with clamping pressure.

Use this jig two ways: as bench mounted or fit the portable plate and use with the clamp so that you take the jig to the work. There is also a very useful extraction outlet so that you can attach a vacuum extractor to keep your work area clear.

This well made jig has all metal parts for added strength and can easily be mounted on a bench. Use for a wide range of material thickness 12-36mm, clear metric scales allow for ease of use.

Supplied as a kit with extraction outlet, portable plate, jig clamp, 1,000 screws in own assorter storage box, high quality M2 specially designed European made spiral drill bit and collar.

Jig kit

What makes pocket hole joinery so good?

Self tapping screws eliminate the need to pre-drill the mating workpiece, this also avoids alignment problems.

The screw acts as an internal clamp and is stronger than a biscuit, dowel or tenon. Constant clamping force combined with today's glue technology makes for a very strong wood-to-wood bond

Learn how to use it

Watch our video and discover how to set up the jig and make your first pocket hole joint.

Add the optional accessories and make it portable and truly versatile

The Portable Plate allows you to remove the jig from the bench mounted unit and use it as a portable jig. The Quick Realease Clamp securely holds the portable plate to the work when drilling and can also be used to clamp the joint together while fixing.

Great piece of kit

I bought this to do a particular job but I have used it more and more. It just solves so many problems of awkward joints. This is my second UJK product and find both their tools and Axminster Tools have been brilliant, well done all.

UJK Pocket Hole Jig complete kit

I have been looking to purchase a pocket hole jig for ages. Thought about the Kreg, but having seen some reviews for this product, I thought I would take the plunge. Once I had opened the kit, you can tell straight away that the build quality is excellent . I have not used it as of yet, but very happy with the purchase. I don't mind paying more for a tool, if it is going to last and this jig seems it will.

Fabulous piece of kit

My first pocket hole jig, and I'm pleased I chose it. Everything I need is included, and my first joints were perfect. The metal construction makes the jig sturdy, and I don't think I could have made a better choice.

Bees knees. Does the job it's designed for.

Bought this set 6 months ago and left the review until now after finishing making my kitchen from solid oak, carcass, fronts and doors. The jig was invaluable in making the front frames. Saved doing loads of mortice and tenon joints. I found the jig easy and accurate. Word of warning remember to switch your torque setting on your drill when going from drilling to screwing. It does not take much to break the screws. In oak they break rather than ripping the wood and it is a pain. My fault.
So the jig has done a few hundred holes and is still accurate. The joints have remained stable and tight.
I was happy with the price. Rather pay once for quality. Very pleased with it.
Now I must make a box for it...
