Does what it is meant to do

Recently used to make a leg vice - straight forward to install and use. Exerts more than enough force to hold large scale projects in secure manner.

Great for making an economic and robust leg vice.

I used this for making a leg vice for a new knock down bench. The jaws were made of oak. The vice is attached to the left bench leg and acts against the apron which is itself supported behind by the leg. This Veritas vice was good value and offered an easy and robust solution for a leg vice. It is now regularly used by our Shed members.
