In Detail

These are quality made screwdrivers with blades of high alloy chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel and hard dull chrome plated against corrosion, tips are precision ground, hardened and tempered. Using the very latest technology, Wiha screwdrivers are fitted with a soft-finish handle which is moulded directly onto the blade. The hard core has a skin-sympathetic, soft material bonded around the 'Power Zone', designed to transmit the maximum torque whilst remaining comfortable and less fatiguing. If you think all screwdrivers are the same then buy one of these and discover the difference between the indifferent.

The best handles

I first discovered Wiha through there bits sold at Axminster. I couldn't get over how well the fitted screws compared to other brands. There screwdrivers are just as good. With the pozi and ph heads you can actually hang the screw from it without it being magnetised. (Smaller screws, you can't defy the laws of gravity!)
They are made in Germany, enough said there.
The handles are the best I have ever used bar none and I have owned and used some good quality screwdriver including Snap On, old Quality Stanley, Britool etc.
They have obviously looked carefully at all handles and arrived at this design. They pay homage to the old hand made octagonal wooden handles that we still see on some top end chisels today. They aren't a true octagonal, four of the flats are slightly larger than the other four, this is by design, it really fits the hand well. There is also a passing resemblance to the old tear drop wooden handles from cabinet makers screwdrivers, again a design honed over centuries by craftsmen and still on sale today.
All the designs are blended into what I can only describe as the perfect handle.
There are four sizes of handles, depending on the size of the tip. This prevents over torquing on smaller screws.
The handles are solid with a black grip cover, a joy to hold, I can't describe how well they fit the hand.
On the end of the handle is the size and type in white letters, which aids selection from tool bags tool racks etc.
